About the role
We are seeking an experienced support worker or someone with equivalent life experience who is reliable and great with people to join our team. Successful candidates with predominant life experience agree to pursue further study during their employment to enhance their skills and qualifications.
The primary responsibilities include assisting NDIS participants in a 1:1 setting to engage in range of activities focused on social and community participation and capacity building supports in line with their NDIS plan and goals. Activities/supports are tailored to participants and support workers' needs/capabilities and often include (but are not limited to):

Nature Based Activities (Bush Cooking, Bush Art, Bushwalking, Beach Days)

Community Based Activities (Bowling, Museums, Op-Shopping, Galleries)

Sightseeing

Rail Trail Mountain Bike Riding

Kayaking
-
Fishing
-
Light Gardening and General Maintenance Duties

Home Decluttering

Meal Preparation Assistance

Camping Trips (Optional)
This role offers above award wages depending on experience, flexible weekday shifts. Opportunities for some weekend work and overnight stays (camping) may be available at certain times if you choose to participate. The role also requires your own vehicle for transport to areas across Gippsland and Smart Phone.
Qualifications/Experience

Certificate in disability, mental health, community services and/or demonstrated equivalent work/life experience in a similar field

Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current Working with Children Check (can be obtained during employment)

Current Full Victorian Driver’s License

Access to a Private Registered Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle Insurance

Access to a Private Smart Phone
